descriptionはPlantにおけるテキスト形式の説明あるいはサマリを示す。その記述は特別なPlantを必要としない。ひとつ以上のPlantに対する記述となるかもしれない。
nameはPlantに与えられたテキスト形式のラベルを示す。
operatorはPlantの操作と一致する組織の名称を示す。Plantを与えるとoperatorの指定は不要となるかもしれない。
ownersはPlantを所有する組織の名称を示す。Plantを与えると, ownersの指定は不要となるかもしれない。
plant_idはPlantの唯一の識別子を示す。Plant_idはいずれのPlantにおいても要求される。
Plant_typeは物理的かつ機能的な特性に基づくPlantの分類の指示を示す。
例 EXAMPLEs of plant_type include: beverage plant, pharmaceutical plant, power plant, offshore oil facility, commercial ship, and military ship.
5.2.558 4.2.284 Plant_csg_shape_representation
Plant_csg_shape_representationはShape_representation（ 4.2.346参照）の一タイプである。この要求は'pure csg'形状のためであり, ハイブリッド表現を用いて構成されるであろう複雑なcsgのためである。
5.2.559 4.2.285 Plant_item

5.2.566 4.2.287 Plant_item_collection
Plant_item_collectionはPlant_itemの集合の一部分であるPlant_item（ 4.2.285参照）の構成を指示する関連である。いずれのPlant_item_collectionもConnected_collection（ 4.2.83参照）になるかもしれない。いずれのPlant_item_collectionもHierarchically_organized_collection（ 4.2.153参照）になるかも知れない。 例 Plant_item_collection may be defined for kit, where the members are not connected, or for an assembly, where the members are connected. Collections that are not hierarchically organized may be physical systems where single component plays role in multiple systems, such as gauge.
Plant_item_collectionに関連付けられたデータを下記。

Plant_item_connection_occurrenceはふたつあるいはそれ以上のPlant_item_connector_occurrence（ 4.2.291参照）オブジェクトへの物理的な連結を巻き込んだPlant_item_connection（ 4.2.288参照）の一タイプである。 Plant_item_connection_occurrenceに関連付けられたデータを下記。

5.2.582 4.2.290 Plant_item_connector
