10.0 POLICIES

 

QUALITY POLICY

In addition to compliance with the ISM Code, it is the policy of Denholm Ship Management Ltd. (the Company) to operate a Quality Management System which meets the requirements of the International Ship Managers Association (ISMA) Code of Ship Management Standards Parts 1, 2 and 3, and the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 9002.

The Company is committed to a quality policy which ensures that services meet customer requirements. To accomplish this, the Company has a documented quality system, extending from the initial enquiry to formal signing of contract and throughout the term of the Management Agreement.

The Company believes that quality is most effectively maintained and improved by eliminating potential causes of error. This is achieved by regular audit and analysis of procedures in order to identify causes of non-conformance. The Company also encourages all employees to identify opportunities for improving the quality and cost effectiveness of their output and the work process in general, on an ongoing basis.

The Company ensures that all employees are aware of this policy and the part they play in implementing its principles and attaining its objectives. This is achieved by ongoing education, which ensures the Company's commitment to quality is efficiently communicated and maintained.

 

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION POLICY

ISM Code 2

It is the policy of Denholm Ship Management Ltd. (the Company) to ensure safe practices in ship operation and provide a safe working environment; to establish safeguards against all identified risks; to improve continuously the safety management skills of personnel ashore and aboard ships, including preparation for emergencies related both to safety and environmental protection, and to ensure that employees at every level recognise the importance of environmental care and protection.

The Company has implemented a Safety Management System comprising Company and Shipboard Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure compliance with mandatory rules and regulations, applicable codes, guidelines and standards recommended by IMO, administrations, classification societies and the maritime industry.

The Company emphasises that it is the duty of all employees to act responsibly, to prevent injury to themselves, other persons, and the environment. The Company records that disciplinary action will follow acts of irresponsibility.
