For the purpose of this standard the minimum ultimate shear strength for aluminium and steel is taken as

6.1.3 Core

Core material, sandwich construction

Allowable design shear stress:

 

τa = 0,5・τu N/mm2

 

where

τu is the minimum ultimate shear strength N/mm2

 

6.2 Bending stiffness coefficient for FRP construction

The bending stiffness coefficient of individual structural members shall not be greater than (κ1・span), where κ1 is defined in Table 5.
