Depot branching point (about 22.9 km of route length), and another 5th party works for the construction of Binnamangala Depot (track length of about 6 km) and main line track between Binnamangala Depot branching point and Domlur Station (about 3 km of route length), about 4 months will be necessary for total track work construction as shown below.
(1) Main track between Mysore Road Station and Binnamangala Depot Branching Point
22.9 km x 2 ÷ (3 km/month x 4 parties) = 4 month
(2) Main track between Binnamangala Depot Branching Point and Domlur Station and Binnamangala Depot Track
(3 km x 2 + 6 km) ÷ 3 km/month = 4 month
Track work must start after the completion of support and girder of the guideway. Further in order to make 5 parties work simultaneously 3 track construction depots must be constructed. One track construction depot at Binnamangala Depot, another track construction depot near Mysore Road Station and third track construction depot near City Railway Station. Binnamangala track construction depot can be used as maintenance depot after the completion of the Project and the other two track construction depots can be only temporarily used and removed after the completion of the Project. These track construction depots require the storage of ballast, sleeper and rail, accordingly some Space must be secured just near the guideway and further access road to transport these track material from depot to elevated girders must be temporarily constructed.
10.4 Electric Facilities (Power supply, signaling & Communication)
(1) In the stage of preliminary engineering, about a few months are necessary for electric facilities after the decision of basics of the civil structures, building, rolling stock and so forth, in order to adjust the design plan to these basics. These matters should be duly taken into consideration in the preliminary design stage.
(2) The design of electric facilities will need several months after the completion of the final drawings of civil structures and buildings. This matter should be duly taken into consideration.
