7.4.3 Substation
(1) Sfandard Distance between Substations
The standard distance between substations is determined by the length of feed distance to secure the minimum feeding voltage of 500 V. Table 7.4-1 shows the estimated maximum feed distances for one-way and parallel feeding from adjacent substations.
For standard distance between substations, we adopted about 2 km for one-way feed and about 6 km for parallel feed, including an allowance based on the data for four-car trains in Table 7.4-1.
(2) Substation Incations
We determined substation locations by taking into account the following.
(a) Although substations can be centered between adjacent stations, we plan to consfuct them near stations to share lands and bui1dings with stations and reduce mnstruction costs.
(b) As four-car trains are planned for the future, the unit rectifier capacity shall be about 2,500 kW.
(c) Substation locations shall finally be determined by surveying sites after other conditions have been finalized.
