7.2.3 Car Washing
Cars are cleaned inside and washed outside with an automatic washing machine at each vehicle depot.
7.2.4 Daily Inspection
Daily inspections shall be performed on the storage tracks of each rolling stock depot.
7.2.5 Minor Repairs, Replacement of Expendables and Emergency Repair
These shall be performed on the inspection track of each vehicle depot.
7.2.6 Scheduled Inspections (30 days)
236 cars x 12 inspections per year = 2 832 inspections per year
2.832 inspections per year ÷ 250 days per year = 11 inspections per day
Therefore, inspection tracks are required for 11 cars. Five to six cars each shall be inspected at Yeshwantpur and Binnamangala vehicle depot.
7.2.7 Unscheduled Inspections
If we assume that 10% of 231 cars require unscheduled inspections, inspection tracks are required for 23 cars for this purpose. As inspection time differs case by case, however, we plan inspection track for 14 cars.
