Considering this factors, the rate of growth of Bangalore is to be assumed in future at the comparable to the increase during 1981 - 1991. The population for the years 2001 and 2011 are planned as 5.8 million and 7 million respectively assuming constant growth rate for 2001 and 50% of this growth for 2011.

　

2.4.2 Employment Projection

　

During 2001 - 2011 the percentage of workers is assumed as 33% to involve more persons in the economic activities. The ratio of basic employment to the service employment in 2011 is maintained at the same level as 1 : 1.2 in 2001. The composition of working force in 2011 is shown in Table 2.4-2.
