(3) Trip Rate
Percapita trip rate per day in Bangalore is 1.152 trips per person in 1994. The details of percapita trip rate for various trip purpose presented in Table 2.3-5 indicates that 48.2% of total trips is for return home. The trips for work / business account for 56% of trips excluding the purpose of return home and education trips follow them.
Percapita trip rate by different transport mode is shown in Table 2.3-6. Trips using ordinary bus account 41% of total trips. Walk trips (24%) and Scooter / Motor Cycle (12.6%) follow them.
