(2) Transport Expenditure
Average monthly transport expenditure of household was 338 Rupees in 1994. This is equivalent to 11% of average monthly household income. About 80% of household spent less than 500 Rupees monthly on the transport as shown in Table 2.3-3.
Table 2.3-4 shows the relationship between monthly Transport expenditure and household income group. Most households having a monthly income range up to 1,000 Rupees spend less than Rs. 100 for Transport.
