馬水龍

農村曲(台湾民謡)

「阿拉木汗」(新橿民謡)

　

台湾基隆生まれ。国立台湾芸術アカデミーで、ヒサオ・エル・フラ教授に理論と作曲を師事、1964年卒業。72年奨学金を得て西ドイツレーゲンスブルク教会音楽高等音楽院でオスカー・ジークムントに師事、75年優秀な成績で卒業。スン・ヤットセン文学芸術賞、ウ・サソリエン文学芸術賞など、作曲で数々の賞を受賞した。83年《竹フルート協奏曲》は、台北でM・ロストロポーヴィッチ指揮ナショナル交響楽団によって演奏された。この模様はPBSテレビネットワークで衛星生中継された。この作品の成功で、国際的な評価を得た。現在、NIAの作曲教授、アジア作曲連盟ROC議長。

《農村曲》は台湾の民謡である。歌詞は、台湾の初期の農業社会を描いている。生活の糧のため、誰もが毎日朝から晩までとても厳しい農作業に従事する。《阿拉木汗》は、中国新橿の民謡である。阿拉木汗とは、ある少女の名前である。歌詞は、その少女の美しく愛らしい様子を描いている。彼女を目にした男性は、みな彼女に夢中になった。

Ma Sui-Long was born in 1939, in Keelung, Taiwan. He studied theory and composition with Prof. Hsiao, Er-Hua at the National Taiwan Academy of the Arts and graduated in 1964. In 1972, he was awarded a scholarship to study under Dr. Oscar Sigmund in Regensburg Kirchenmusik Hochschule, West Germany and graduated with distinctions in 1975. In 1983, his Bamboo Flute Concerto was performed in Taipei by the National Symphony Orchestra of the United States with Meastro Mstislav Rostropovich conducting. The event was broadcast live via satelite on PBS television network. The success of the piece brought him an international recognition. Currently, he is professor of composition at NIA and chairman of Asian Composers' League R. O. C.

"The Song of Farm Village": This piece is a folk song from Taiwan. The lyrics describe the early stage of agriculture society in Taiwan. For living everybody work very hard on the farm from daybreak to evening everyday. "Ya-La Mu Han": This piece is a folk song from 'Hsin-Chian' in China. "Ya-La-Mu-Han" is a girl' s name. The lyrics describe that the girl is beautiful and lovable. All men who looked her were infatuated with her charms.

「ポクポク・アリンパコ」

1941年2月19日リザールのモロン生まれ。67年フィリピン大学で音楽教育のディプロマ、72年フィリピン大学で音楽修士を作曲で取得。77年ドイツ西ベルリン高等音楽院で作曲(ドイツ政府音楽国家試験)のディプロマを取得。79年イェール大学音楽学部作曲科を優秀な成績で卒業。典礼と音楽のための東南アジア協会監督、聖アンドリュー神学セミナー音楽監督、フィリピン大学の音楽理論および作曲の講師。K・ペンデレツキ、尹伊桑、H・W・ツィンマーマン、J・ドリュックマン、エルセオ・M・パジャロといった国際的に有名な作曲家、アルトゥール・ヴァイスベルク、マルチィン・ベールマンなど著名な指揮者に師事。

《ポクポク・アリンパコ》は、フィリピン東南部で広く知られる子供の遊び歌である。遊びの要素の強いリズムを持ち、遊んでいる子供本来の姿を模倣する。とても楽しい歌で、純粋無垢な子供の生活を称えている。

FELICIANO (b: February 19, 1941 - Morong, Rizal) Academic and Musical Studies: Teacher s Diploma in Music, 1967, University of the Philippines; Master of Music, University of the Philippines, 1972, Composition; Diploma in Music, Composition (State Examination in Music of the German Government) Hochschule fur Musik. West Berlin, Germany, 1977; Graduate in Music Composition, Yale University School of Music, 1979, with distinction. Positions and Activities: Director; Southeast Asia Institute for Liturgy and Music; Music Director, St. Andrew's Theological Seminary; Instructor in Music Theory and Composition, University of the Philippines. Studied with' internationally famous composers like Krzysztof Penderecki, Isang Yun, Heinz Werner Zimmermenn and Jacob Druckman, and Ellseo M. Pajaro. Studied with famous conductors like Arthur Weisberg and Martin Behrmann.

"POKPOK ALIMPAKO" It is a children s playing song popularized in the Southern part of the Philippines. It has a playful rhythm, imitating the nature of the child at play. It is a very joyful song, celebrating the simplicity of the life of a child.
