9. In what specific ways can the SYLFF Program have greater impact at your institution?
 
●Increase funding (21)
 Increased funding: for the mobility program, in order to allow more scholarships, for international research, for traveling expenses when presenting researches, for FMP, for joint research and workshops on specific issues, etc.
●More interaction between SYLFF institutions (13)
 More teachers and students' mobility between SYLFF institutions, more direct communication with fellows, intellectual exchange, development of bilateral cooperation (joint programs), using follow-up programs to strengthen community-building by SYLFF fellows
●Enhance international networks (12)
 Opportunities (with some financial support, perhaps travel, limited stipend) for faculty to be able to use other institutions in the network as a home base to conduct research and/or teach either during the summer or during a sabbatical year or semester, implementing teacher exchange programs, more international postgraduate student visitors, create a Central European SYLFF Network could assist in the development of the European region, more collaborations between SYLFF institutions in other areas of study (e.g. research)

By reducing the number of fields for which the fellowship is allocated, it may increase its impact at UWC. This will help with sustaining a SYLFF Seminar since students will have greater interaction and more regular contact with each other.
●If the Program would foresee to support SYLFF-endowed universities to run (post) graduate programs together
●Organize workshops with fellows
●Use SYLFF at PhD level only and no longer Master
●Use the FMP/JIP/PDA to a greater extent and encourage SNP more
●Meet the different continual needs of institutions based on students and fellows

●The better the content of research proposal is, the larger the possibility is to be chosen, and the quality of proposals has become much better

●Expand the impact of SYLFF Program at universities. Since 2002, the number of graduated students at Lanzhou University increased rapidly, but the number of awarded graduates did not, so comparatively say, the impact of SYLFF decreased. This may be the situation for all institutions of higher education in China.

 Even though we are celebrating 20 years of SYLFF, it is still very young compared to Fulbright and DAAD fellowships. The fact that the endowment is allocated to an institution and not directly to the student, may also reduce the value and potential prestigious nature of the fellowship.

 In the case of an arts institutions, as we are only 3 at present within SYLFF, the impact is not as large as for other SYLFF members.

 The combination of global penetration across-disciplines plus the fact that you are empowering top performers offers huge opportunity.
 The SYLFF Program promotes globalization through its mission and by establishing a global network of institutions. Fellows became global by taking teaching positions at higher education in other countries. They exchange research with other faculty globally, attend conferences globally.
 Similar goals - multicultural competence, skills to live and work in global society.
 An important component of "globalization" in higher education is the building of multi-national networks. In this regard, SYLFF is a very important contributor.
 Due to the fact that many of the participants have had the opportunity to work with students of other nationalities or to travel beyond their own national borders, and have hopefully increased their own understanding of issues, which by and large are not limited by national borders, and their understanding of other cultures and traditions.
