4.2.9 付録 A. STEPlibのコンテンツ
STEPlibはいろんな方法で利用される：
1. STEPlib Browserの原型様式のデータベースとして
2. Excelのスプレッドシートとして、ExcelはSTEPlib Browserで読み込んだり出力したり出来る
スプレッドシートは、独自のクラスや標準の独自化を加えるのに非常に簡単なメカニズムを提供することに注意のこと
4.2.9.1 STEPlibのデータベース
STEPlibデータベースのコンテンツは、STEPlib Browserを使って覗くことが出来る。そのBrowserは、例えばSTEPファイル（Part21形式）、HTML形式あるいはExcelなどの多数の形式によるいろんな出力機能によって簡単に拡張できる。Browserは、検索してクラスやその関連の詳細を知ることが出来る。それは、クラスを目的の範囲にグループ化して、概要を示す。STEPlibライブラリ全体の洞察力は別にして、スプレッドシートとして使われるSTEPlibの版数に頼るのが好ましい。
4.2.9.2 Gellishテーブル様式（GellishTable Format）
STEPlibライブラリは、Gellish Table Format ファイル（GTF files）で利用できる。
これらのファイルのExcelスプレッドシートテーブルは、元のテーブルから作られた例題の階層を持つワークシートも含んでいる。
GTF様式は、”The Gellish Table Format”に記載されていて、それはウェブサイト www.STEPlib.comからダウンロードできる。 GTF様式とデータモデルの関係についても、そのドキュメントに述べられている。そして、ISO 10303−221（AP221）やISO 15926データモデルへのマッピング要領も示されている。
4.2.9.3 対象範囲
STEPlibに関するこの説明書の発刊日に、ライブラリは1ケのCLB STEPlibブラウザのファイルからなっている。それは、スプレッドシートファイルとしても使える。各スプレッドショートファイルは、1ケもしくはそれ以上の対象範囲セクションを下に示すように持っている。そのリストは、通常のSTEPlibの更新による変更に関するものである。
