 The point-wise information on the basis of model guidelines are as under: -
1. The following fellows participated in the WMU Sasakawa Japan Fellows Forum: -
(i) Mr. Anantha Prasad N.S. (1997064)
(ii) Mr. S.K.Shahi (2002081).
 
2. This report has been jointly prepared by both the above fellows.
 
3. An informal and flexible organization is proposed to be established in view of limited number of fellows(3 only) at present.
 
4. Till the time, the membership of the India chapter of the forum increases to warrant establishment of a formal structure and procedure, the informal consultation procedure would be adopted by the "Indian Chapter" of the forum.
 
5. For the present, Mr. S.K. Shahi would be coordinating the activities of the "Network".
 
6. The objective is to be in regular contact with the country fellows and the international networks at large to share concerns on the relevant professional issues.
 
7. No formal process and procedure is envisaged till the number of fellows in India reach to a significant level. However, it is proposed to adopt a process of mutual consultation and consensus on all issues concerning the network.
 
8. The WMU/SOF are expected to inform the country coordinator as soon as Sasakawa fellowship is awarded to any Indian student. The changes in respect of existing members would be maintained by the country coordinator and he would disseminate the information to other fellows and the SOF.
 
9. The information about the activities of the 'Network' may be reported to SOF as and when necessitated. The medium of electronic mail would be used for communication with other 'Networks' and the SOF.
 
10. It is proposed to exchange information on maritime issues of relevance as well as to maintain active contact with other 'Networks'.
 
11. The country coordinator would contact other members on a quarterly basis.
 
12. No specific suggestion is proposed to be made at this nascent stage. Once the country network takes off, suggestions could be made in light of the experience gained.
