A. ROLE ; to keep in contact with all members and coordinate functions of the forum. Also to arrange meetings at convenient times.
B. FUNCTION ;
(1)To organize meetings.
(2)To keep an up-to-date record of members.
(3)To keep an up-to-date record of maritime affairs in Bangladesh.
(4)To keep in regular contact with the forum headquarters.
(5)To comply with suggestions/recommendations made by the forum headquarters.

6. Objectives
A. To facilitate promotion of cooperation on regional and global basis on maritime issues.
B. To contribute towards the welfare of the local maritime professionals in terms of professional development, employment opportunities, etc.
C. To keep in touch with other local or regional networks.
D. To arrange meetings of network members for sharing of knowledge and exchange of views and ideas.
E. To advise the local maritime authorities and government agencies. To formulate policy matters of maritime issues as required.
F. To discuss ways to further strengthen professional activities, education and research in maritime affairs.
7. The Decision Making Process
Discussion among members and reaching consensus.
8. Member Contact List
An up-to-date membership list will be maintained and changes will be communicated to the forum headquarters by fax or e-mail.
9. Reporting to SOF
By the coordinator there will be quarterly reporting to SOF. On special issues communication will be established with SOF as well as other country/regional networks whenever necessary.
10. Future Issues
(1) Exchange of information on maritime issues.
(2) To enhance regional/international cooperation in maritime fields like education and training of personnel in the maritime field.
(3) Exchange of expertise in the maritime field. Action plans on specific issues will be developed once the forum headquarters accepts the proposal.
11. Procedure for Contacting Members
Through E-Mail or Fax or Meetings.
12. Proposals, Ideas or Comments
(1) Plenary Sessions to be arranged at least every 3 years.
(2) There should be a logo for the forum.
