3. The organizational structure of the network would be as shown
4. The roles and functions of the coordinator:
1. Create an internet site for communication with members
2. To assess the SOF/WMU web pages
3. Update the database of members
4. Organize regional meetings at agreed times (once in every two years)
5. To collect yearly contributions from members for maintenance of the network

7. Objectives
Developed in line with the objectives of SOF
* To build a regional network amongst WMU Sasakawa Fellows
* To exchange information between Fellows of the region
* To cooperate with other WMU graduates of the region/global network to contribute significant ideas for the development and organization of Japanese fellows network
8. Decision-making shall be done by consensus through the exchange of ideas on issues to be decided upon via E-mail. These shall be organized/coordinated by the coordinator.
9. The coordinator shall obtain and circulate a yearly update of addresses of old and new members of the network. All WMU graduates within the member countries shall be automatic members of the network.
10. The procedure for reporting to SOF shall be through the coordinating office.

Proposal for SOF:
a. That SOF would sponsor more students to WMU from the region
b. Show interest in prospective development in various sectors of the maritime industry in the region.
c. Assist the region with Information Technology equipment and knowledge.
d. Assist in terms of financial support to maintain the network within the region.
