In 1999 the first new Wartsila 64 medium-speed engines were delivered and installed in ships built in Japan and Europe.
ZA40S
This is a medium-speed 400 mm bore engine which covers a power range from 4,500 - 13,500 kW at 510 rpm. It is built in both in-line and Vee-form configurations. The ZA40S has achieved particular success in the ferry, cruise ship and power generation markets.
