AUTOSKY 6,504-dwt Ro / Ro / Car Carrier
The AUTOSKY, with car deck area of abt. 16,800 m2, was delivered in May 2000 to United European Car Carrier (Norway) AS by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
The vessel has eight (8) tiers of car decks for carrying private cars, pick up cars, trucks, buses and MAFI rolltrailers, etc.
The vessel has one (1) liftable type car deck and when the liftable deck is set at the upper level. Large vehicles can be loaded on the second car deck within the permissible strength of the deck.
Motor cars are loaded / unloaded by driving themselves through outboard rampways fitted at the aft end and aft on starboard side, on the second deck.
The vessel was built with twin-screw having two (2) highlift type rudders, and also has one (1) set of bow thruster and one (1) pair of fin stabilizers.
