FERRY KOCHI Passenger / Car Ferry

 

Sanoyas Hishino Meisho Corporation delivered the newly developed split stern type car ferry for Osaka-Kochi Ferry Co., Ltd. in July, 2000.

The ship is now serving the Osaka-Kochi ferry route.

 

Features

1. The vessel is a twin screw diesel engine driven Roll-on Roll-off car ferry and passenger ship for coastal service.

2. The vessel has two car decks, bow visor, bulbous bow and catamaran stern hull form.

3. The lower car deck is designed as the freeboard / bulkhead deck and upper car deck as the strength deck.

4. Passenger space is located above the upper car deck, and an elevator is provided between the car deck and passenger space.

5. The car decks are used for loading of trailer trucks and cars.

6. Two (2) shore ramps, one (1) bow ramp and the other, quarter stern ramp, are arranged on the lower car deck and one (1) internal hoistable seesaw ramp on the upper car deck is arranged for loading of trailer trucks and cars.

7. The vessel's hull below the lower car deck have fore peak tank, bow thruster space, water ballast tanks, fresh water tank, fuel oil tanks, void spaces and engine room.

8. Water ballast tanks are arranged effectively in order to compensate trimming and heeling.

9. One (1) pair of retractable stabilizing fins and one (1) set of bow thruster is effectively arranged.
