T082 Research of an Opportunity of the Effective Use of Ecologically Clean and Practically Silent Inertial Propulsive System in Vehicles of Various Purpose (on-Road, Railway, Water)

ABSTRACT

The preliminary analysis shows, that using of the inertial propulsive system (IPS) is possible. IPS does not contact with an environment (road, water, air), and create pulses of movement inside a vehicle. In difference of the ship propeller, oar, sail, driver from the engine to wheels of the car. IPS is located inside a vehicle and carries out communication between the engine (diesel engine etc.) and housing of a vehicle. The description of advantages (ecological cleanliness, noiselessness etc.) and lacks (unsufficient efficiency, complicate control system) is given. The possible areas of IPS applications are considered.

The effective propulsive devices (movers) are widely used in various vehicles. transforming forces created by the engine into forces moving a vehicle. As an example it is convenient to consider the movers of water vehicles, Fig.1. It is an oars, sail or propeller. Interacting, on the one hand, with the engine (diesel. man). and with an environment (water. air). on the other hand., mover transfers to a vessel or boat a certain effort, which forces a vehicle to move by the water. As a rule, a mover kinematically is located between the engine and environment and it transfers a moving force to the board of a vehicle. Widely known ship propeller very well illustrates this circuit. With the help of a shaft line a mover interactes with the ship engine (diesel, turbine). and at rotation it interactes with water. A thrust force, which through a shaft line is transferred to the board of a vessel and moves its (vessel) by the water, arises.

Known movers have appreciable advantages. Therefore they are widely used in practice, despite of the certain lacks. It is possible to attribute to lacks an unsufficient efficiency (oars. sail), negative influence on an environment (propeller), presence of vibration and noise at operation (propeller).

The efficiency of known movers is well investigated. Enough to tell, that an efficiency factor of the propeller can reach 70 % and more. Its design (including the controllable pitch propeller) is rather simple, and the control system does not require special devices and complicated technologies. For this reason the propeller has not the equivalent competitors among movers for water transport.

At the same time the inertial mover is known, which works on other principles. Schematically its work can be described as follows. The inertial mover is actuated, as well as anyone another, with the help of the engine. As against traditional the inertial mover interactes directly with a vehicle, instead of with an environment. Its action is organized in a such manner that the force impulses directed to the course of a vehicle movement are creating. The vehicle moves under action of these Impulses. Fig.2.

Widely known amusements for children - swing, roller boards can serve as the evident example of the inertial mover using. In them a swing, a board serve as the vehicle, in which the child moves. The heart of the child is an engine, and his muscle system is a mover. Such mover can work only under the control of the complicate computer, which the brain of the man is. The computer adjusts time, direction and size of force impulses in such a manner that the swing is shaked with desirable frequency and amplitude, and the roller board is gone in the necessary direction and with necessary speed. The system of the man feelings (satisfaction, non-satisfaction, fear, estimation of a road situation etc.) acts as a feedback. The similar circuit can be realized and for a more complicated vehicle with a rectilinear movement (vessel, automobile or railway carriage without a drive on wheels).

It is possible to attribute to advantages of the inertial mover an ecological safety, a basic opportunity to exclude influence of noise. profitability from the point of view of expenses for manufacturing, service, repair.

The ecological safety is caused by that the power system is placed in the body of a vehicle and does not interact with an environment, including animals.

The influence of noise can be reduced to a minimum by allocation of all power unit in the protected apartment of a vehicle.

The profitability can be reached by using of simple materials and simple designs. The control of a inertial mover can be trusted to rather simple modern onboard personal computer, equipped by the special program.
