- exhaust gas emissions from Cl and Sl engines
- sound emissions from the completed boat.
・The directive was supported by industry (mainly boat builders) to replace national plannings and by such avoid trade barriers within the EU.
・Sound control requires close cooperation between boat builders, marinizers and engine builders to define and share responsibilities.
