IMO MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI
Annex VI on the control of NOx was adopted end 1998:
・The code is practically applicable from 1 Jan 2000 on for vessels navigating in international waters, although ratification is proceeding slowly.
・The Code covers NOx only - an IMO certificate for an engine may not cover other applications.
・On-board monitoring of NOx will have to be defined (close cooperation of JSMEA and Euromot).
