Ad Hoc Group Reportについては、次のResolution 9が採択された。
Resolution 9
TC8/AG recognizes that there is a need to make individuals at all levels of an organization Aware of ISO/TC8 activities and the benefits of their participation.
Members of ISO/TC8 ape requested to;
* Look for opportunities to advertise work of ISO/TC8 including publication of articles and presentation of papers to professional societies.
* Identify companies and individuals who should be invited to, and receive information about, TC8 activities.
* Prepare articles for the ISO/TC8 Newsletter and other publication.
The Ad Hoc Group on Public Awarenass is requested to;
* Prepare standard letter with public relations documents explaining benefits of ISO/TC8 participation and how one might participate.
* Update ISO/TC8 brochure to include recent examples of published standards.
* Develop educational materials on standards and benefits of standardization for university professors to use in their classrooms.
* Identify 1-3 topics for specific standards that will be great interest and benefit to the industry. These identified work items are to be considered as major topics.
TC8/AGは、任意の組織のすべての層における個人個人にISO/TC8の活動状況を知らしめ、かつTC8に各人が参加することの利点を知らしめる必要があることを認識する。
ISO/TC8メンバーは次のことを行うことを要求される。
*ISO/TC8の作業を宣伝する機会を捜し求めること、これには記事の発刊及び専門的諸団体に対する論文の提出の機会を含む。
*TC8の活動に招請し、かつ同活動状況についての情報を入手させるべき会社及び個人を洗い出すこと。
*ISO/TC8 Newsletterおよびその他の出版物のための記事を作成すること。
Public Awarenesに係わるAd Hoc Groupは次のことを行うよう要求される。
*ISO/TC8への参加により生ずる利点及び参加の仕方を説明する広報用文書を添付した標準的な文書を作成すること
*すでに制定済みの規格の最近の例を集めたISO/TC8 Brochureを更新し、大学教授がその教室で使うための規格関係教育用資料及び規格化によって生ずる恩恵についての教育資料を作成すること。
産業界にとって重大な関心事であり利益となりうる1〜3のtopic的規格を取り上げること、この場合取り上げられるWork itemsは、TC8にとって主要議題項目と考えられるものであることとする。
7. Item Related to ISO/TC8 Subcommittees
(1) Piersall議長は「Mr. Schadeが来年retireする予定であり、またDINはISO/TC8/SC8の議長及び幹事国を辞めたい。」とのMr. Schadeからの手紙を紹介した。
(2) Mr. Van Dijkは「SC8の作業を継続するには2つの方法、すなわちその1つは新たな議長及び幹事国を探すと言うことであり、第2の方法はSC8の業務を他のSubcommitteeに分散させることである。」と提案した。
(3) Piersall議長が韓国代表に「SC8の議長及び幹事国を引き受ける可能性があるかどうか」を尋ねたが、韓国代表からの色よい返事はなかった。
ここで、次のResolution 8が採択された。
Resolution 8
The Chairman of TC8 will assign Mr. Schade (Germany) as temporary Chairman of SC8. Also, Mr. Schade is requested to advise the Chairman of TC8, electronically, within 15 days, of Mr. Schade's recommendations for the transition of SC8's Chair and Secretariat.
Finally, the TC8/AG member's recommendations for the potential Chairman and Subcommittee Secretariat of SC8, and volunteers for those positions, are requested.
TC8議長は、Mr. Schade(ドイツ)をSC8の臨時議長として任命する意向である。またMr. SchadeはTC8議長に対し15日以内にSC8の議長及び幹事国の移行に係わるMr. Schadeの見解を電子便にて伝達するよう要求される。
最後に、可能性ありとされるSC8の議長及び幹事国に係わるTC8/AGメンバーの見解ならびにこれらの役割への志望者が求められる。
