Before we were laryngectomized the sound /h/ was produced when the mouth was held in a vowel-position and air was emitted through the wide open glottis. Since we have lost the glottis, this is the most difficult sound for as to produce. When, however, you take as much air as you can into the back part of the throat and emit quickly and forcibly, you may produce a sound approximate to it.
Moreover, even if you can not make the /h/ sound, this sound will be filled in as your listeners if the rest of your speech is clear.
