3.4 Executive Committee Report: 2000 Goals & Activities
The Report of the Executive Committee distributed as paper AGM4/3/4 was discussed and accepted.
The outcome of the survey conducted at the 99 Conference is to be built into the workplan to be developed by the Executive Committee.
4 Election of Executive Committee
The following office holders and members of the Executive Committee were elected:
Shanghai Maritime University Chair
Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine Vice Chair
Australian Maritime College Secretary
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Treasurer
Singapore Polytechnic Member
The following members were co-opted to the Executive Committee for one year, in accordance with the Constitution:
Dalian Maritime University Member
Magsaysay Institute of Shipping Member
A vote of thanks to those who agreed to nomination was taken. Congratulations were extended to Shanghai Maritime University and Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine on their appointment as Chair and Vice Chair respectively of AMETIAP.
5 Adoption of Charter
The draft Charter and the Conference Statement, amended to incorporate the proposals from the conference workshops, were adopted.
