16 Distribute information about members to members
The membership list, which provides addresses and other contact information, has been distributed in the newsletters. Information about institutions for inclusion in the newsletters has been solicited and some members have been featured.
17 Consider instigating an annual AMETIAP Prize
Further consideration is required. AMETIAP was consulted by LLP Ltd of London as to the recipient (Mr Miguel Magsaysay) of the first presentation of the Manning and Training Lifetime Achievement Award at the 3rd LSM Asia Pacific Manning and Training Conference in Manila on 4 November 1999.
18 Establish a papers committee for future conferences
A papers committee has been agreed to but was not utilised for the 1999 Conference because of the workshop nature of the conference and the small number of papers.
19 Conduct an IMO-AMETIAP Workshop in Singapore in early January
IMO funded joint Pedagogical Workshops for maritime teaching, were held at Singapore Polytechnic and Shanghai Maritime University in January and September.
20 Award a 'Best Paper Award' after completion of presentations of papers at the 1999 conference
The 1999 Couference does not suit such an award, because of its workshop nature.
21 All outstanding matters from ExCo4, ExCo5 and AGM3 to be collated into the 1999 Workplan
