The Financial Report and audited Financial Statements, distributed as paper AGM3/4/3, were accepted.

4.4 1999 Goals/Activities
It was agreed that the Executive Committee should pursue the goals and activities as outlined in paper AGM3/4/4.

5 General Business
During the discussion it was proposed that:
・Members should receive IMO information and Dr Aziz offered to provide the IMO publications office with members details;
・The Maritime Industry Authority of the Philippines(MARINA) and the Commission for Higher Education(CHED) in the Philippines should be invited to become Associate Members;
・Members should solicit additional Members and Associate Members;
・information about Members should be distributed amongst Members;
・consideration be given to an annual AMETIAP Prize for the best paper, inclusive of presentation, at each annual conference;
・a papers committee should be established to vet papers for future conferences.
