6. Transport
Airport transportation
There is a JR "NARITA EXPRESS" train from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station, Shinjuku Station etc.. The trip takes about 60 minutes and costs 2,940 yen.
Trains depart from Narita Airport every 30 minutes.
From Tokyo Station, you can take a taxi to your Hotel. The trip takes 15 - 20 minutes and costs about 2,000 yen (depending on the traffic conditions).
Or from Tokyo Station, you can take a Yamanote line train to "Hamamatsucho" Station, and then take a walk about 5 - 10 minutes to your hotel.
A taxi from Narita Airport to your hotel costs about 25,000〜30,000 yen.
7. General information
(1) Passport, visas and vaccination
Delegates and accompanying persons are advised to check the regulations with regard to visas and vaccination with the local agencies making their travel arrangements.
In case of doubt, information can be obtained from the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate.
Especially, delegates from the following countries should pay attention to acquiring a visa:
P-member: *China (CSBTS), *Cuba (NC), India (BIS), *Korea, Dem. P. Rep of(CSK), Korea, Republic of (KNITQ), *Romania (ASRO), *Russian Federation (GOST R), *Ukraine (DSTU)
O-member : Australia(SAA), Brazil (ABNT), *Bulgaria(BDS), Indonesia (BSN) Iran, Islamic Republic of (ISIRI), Mexico (DGN), Pakistan (PSI), *Slovakia (UNMS), Thailand (TISI), *Viet Nam (TCVN), *Yugoslavia (SZS)
Note : The delegates from countries asterisked (*) as above are required to take action in acquiring a visa at the earliest time possible, considering the time (probably long time) needed in the proceedings of the visa.
(2) Insurance
The Japan Marine Standards Association regrets that it can accept no responsibility for loss of life, accidents, etc. It has not taken any steps to insure delegates or accompanying persons as this is considered to be the responsibility of the delegates themselves.
Delegates are advised to take out insurance for travel, medical, personal accident and luggage in their own country prior to departure for Japan.
(3) Climate
In October, the climate is generally mild with daily temperature ranging between 12℃ and 20℃.
