The Chairman proposed that Mr. Gunnar Nolsoe should receive a statement and presented him with a gift for his outstanding service as Chairman of SC5.

ISO/TC8 expresses its sincere thanks to Mr.Gunner Nolsoe for his outstanding service as Chairman of SC5 since 1994, and wishes him and his wife all the best for the future.

　

14.　ITEMS FOR TC8/AG

The ISO/TC8/AG will hold its 29^th meeting directly following this Plenary meeting, also in the same place, and it is decided that the SC4 issues pointed out in agenda item 6 of this report to discuss in AG should be transferred to the AG for discussion.

　

15.　APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS

Resolution 190

ISO/TC8 thanks the delegation of Japan and JMSA for the excellent facilities provided to the 18^th Plenary meeting in Tokyo.

Resolutions 176 through 190, as recorded in document 8 N 941 and cited in this report, are approved

　

16.　CLOSURE OF THE MEETING

The Chairman thanked all the delegates for the excellent meeting and closed the 18^th TC8 Plenary meeting with the traditional blowing of the boatswain's pipe.
