Resolution 187
ISO/TC8 members noted that an IMO Bulletin Board systems has been developed that will make IMO Documents available to those persons holding approved user names and passwords. For TC8 representatives attending IMO meetings, user names and passwords are only available from the ISO Central Secretariat. It was agreed that the Chairman would contact the ISO Central Secretariat and request user names and passwords be made available to TC8 representatives attending IMO meeting

12. SUBSEQUENT MEETING
On behalf of CTO (Ship Design and Research Centre: Mr. Karpinski, Director of CTO) of Poland, Mr. Szemro proposed to host the next TC8 meeting in Poland. All the TC8 Plenary members accepted the proposal with pleasure and expressed their sincere gratitude to Mr. Karpinski and Mr. Szemro. The following Resolution was approved:
Resolution 188
ISO/TC8 accepts with pleasure the invitation from Poland to hold the 19th Plenary meeting in Gdansk, Poland. It is noted that the TC8 AG meeting will take place on 2000-10-26 in connection with the ISO/TC8 Plenary meeting.
13. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Mr. Hime introduced the 4th issue of the ISO/TC8 Newsletter and the revised ISO/TC8 Brochure, which he distributed to all the delegates. Mr. Hime requested that the delegates advise him of additional copies they require of both the Newsletter and Brochure and he will make them available.
The Chairman thanked the Subcommittees who provided articles for the Newsletter. The Chairman expressed his special gratitude to Mr. Koyama and Mr. Arikawa for providing articles for all of the Newsletters that have been published and asks other respective subcommittees to submit their articles for the Newsletter continuously. Without good inputs from subcommittees, it is impossible to write the Newsletter.
Mr. Ogo, Secretary of TC8, introduced the ISO/TC server that the ISO/TC server is now available for any TCs, SCs and WGs level. In TC8, TC8/SC1, 2, 3, and 8 are using the TC server on a daily basis.
The Chairman asks that all other TC8/SCs and WGs are encouraged to consider the use of ISO/TC server for their convenience. There is no need to buy new hardware new server at all, but in order to log into the ISO/TC server, we need a password, which will be given by ISO/CS shortly.
