5. Revision of working document
5.1 Calculations
At the last meeting KJF had volunteered to take over the adjustment of the spreadsheet and revise it according to any changes agreed.
Before dealing with the results there was a general discussion on results from other countries as well as to the format of displaying the results. Further the main arguments of the EBA Report (Wolfson Unit) were addressed. KJF thinks that one formula for power and sail should be possible. This was vividly contradicted by Bob Curry (RC). This led to a more extent discussion without any final result.
M. Hoekstra reported about his calculations, mainly on steel or aluminium craft between 6 and 20 m. Most of the steel boats are built in excess of the requirements, the aluminium are mostly in line. He will check again with possible new data on basis of the next draft document.
R. Schofield (RS) proposed 3 graphs (bottom, side, deck) thickness and additionally the relation s/t. one symbol should be used for each source. This proposal was not further developed.
