6. Cost Bearing:

1) Each region to bear its own costs for development, implementation and operation.

2) Coordination Committee meetings:

a. The hosting country bears the cost of setting the environment, for example meeting room, coffees, Iunch and translation.

b. Travel and accommodation expenses born by the country participating.

 

7. Technical Requirements:

1) Network

The trial has to be carried out upon existing VAN-VAN network for international communication. Domestic network connections determined locally.

2) Syntax

UN/EDIFACT is to be used in this iternational EDI trial.

3) Security

The security between VAN to VAN is not considered in this project as they have their own reliable system, so there is no need to establish our own security. Therefore, the security level is to be set up locally at each end.

4) Depending upon the business process, response messages may be required (e.g.APERAK).

 

8. Publicity

It was decided unanimously that in future this project would be released under the name “International EC/EDI Trial.” Each country shall be responsible for local publicity and information dissemination.

 

9. List Server

Tradegate offered and were unanimously agreed to be the provider of the List Server for this project, in which all project matters may be discussed.

10. Next Meetings

Agreed that the next meeting will be conducted by video conference at the end of June 1999.

Provisionally agreed that the next formal meeting of the Coordination Committee would be held in Sydney, Australia in the week commencing 27th of September (following the EWG meeting in Canberra).
