TOKYO MEETING FOR INTERNATIONAL EDI TRIAL (RESOLUTIONS)

RESOLUTIONS
1. Each country to exchange the potential candidate lists by the end of April 1999 via List Server. Each country to assess the nominations and to advise the suitability of the nominees as participants in the project
2. We will agree the candidates participating in the EDI trial by the end of June 1999.
3. The following messages will form the functional basis for the trial:
(1) DESADV (Despatch Advice / Packing List)
(2) INVOIC (Commercial Invoice)
(3) IFTMCS (Bill of Lading / Waybill)
(4) IFCSUM (Manifest)
(5) BAPLIE (Bayplan)
(6) COSTCO (Container Load Plan)
4. Agreements:
1) POLISA, KL Net, and Tradegate will create and execute a 3-way Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to confirm their participation in the trial.
2) For each trading partner pair there will be a simple Teading Partner Agreement.
5. To continue further technical discussion, particularly on COSTCO and D.98B, and other technically critical requirements, the establishment of a Harmonization Committee was recommended. The following persons were nominated as the committee members.
(1) Mr. Kokubo (POLISA)
(2) Mr. Keogh (Tradegate)
(3) Mr. Kim (KL Net)
(4) Mr. Kashima (SC/SF Net) or his assignee
