IWAKI 1,613-TEU Container Ship
The 1,613 TEU container ship IWAKI was built at Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd., and delivered to Fair Wind Navigation S.A. in August 1997.
Features
The vessel carries 1,613 TEUs of containers, including 206 TEUs of air-cooled type refrigerated containers which are stowed on deck and in Nos. 5 and 6 holds.
The containers are stowed eleven (11) rows abreast and five (5) tiers high on deck, and eight (8) rows abreast and five (5) tiers high in hold.
The container stowage space is divided into seven (7) holds including aft hold.
On deck container spaces are arranged for interchangeable uses of 20 feet, 40 feet and 45 feet. All holds are arranged for interchangeability of 20 feet and 40 feet.
The vessel has two (2) sets of 40 (36) metrictons x 32 (33) m-radius and one (1) set of 40 (30) metrictons x 32 (33.5) m-radius electrohydraulic deck cranes.
The dangerous goods of IMO class 1,2,3,4.1,5.1,5.2,6.1, and 8, in freight containers are stowed on deck and in Nos.4 and 7 holds.
