The 3,200,000 cft woodchip carrier PRINCE OF TOKYO was delivered to Neptune Aquarius Shipping Corp. of Panama in September 1997 at Mizushima Works and Shipyard of Sanoyas Hishino Meisho Corporation.
The vessel is high service speed woodchip carrier capable of carrying heavy woodchip with shallow draft.
Features
1. The cargo space is divided into six cargo holds with hopper bottom. The frame arrangement in the cargo space is designed for facilitation of woodchip loading and unloading.
2. Cargo handling equipment is 975-t/h woodchip unloading system consisting of three high-speed cranes, four hoppers and conveyers on deck.
3. End-folding hatch covers driven by hydraulic cylinders for opening and closing.
