BLUE LEO 23,620-dwt Log/Bulk Carrier
The 23,620-dwt bulk carrier BLUE LEO was built at Onishi Works of Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd., and delivered in June, 1998 to Leyte Navigation S.A.
The vessel is one of a series of 23,600-dwt type log/bulk carriers built by the yard.
The vessel has four (4) cargo holds and particularly Nos. 2 and 3 holds are designed as box shape type with double-hull structure and other holds are designed with topside tanks and bilge hopper tanks.
The vessel has wide hatches of 17.94m long x 12.80m wide for No. 1 and 19.50m long x 17.82m wide for No. 2 through No. 4, for efficient handling of timber and long steel products. The width of the wider-hatches corresponds to 69 percent of the 26.0-meter molded breadth of hull.
