KAKUYU MARU 3,898-dwt White Petroleum Product Carrier
The 3,898-dwt white petroleum product carrier, KAKUYU MARU built by Hashihama Works of the Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd. was delivered in October 1996 to the Tsurumi Yuso Co., Ltd.
The vessel operates in smooth waters and is equipped with Vec-Twin rudder, bow thruster for better maneuverability.
Two sets of cargo pumps are driven by the main engine through the slipping clutches of Niigata Converter Co., Ltd. and the capability of the cargo pumps is controlled by them which makes it possible to dispense with a stripping pump.
Cargo piping system is so designed that two kinds of cargo can be loaded or unloaded simultaneously.
Semi-automatic cargo loading/unloading system is applied and cargo can be unloaded to full stripping automatically.
