4.2.13 Air system
The starting method is by air motor system and does not require the relating parts such as starting valve, distributing valve, stop valve and piping parts, comparing with conventional starting method, which makes maintenance and inspection easier.
5. Afterword
A new series model 6N18(A)L, 6/8N21(A)L has been delivered since July of 1996 and total quantity including already delivered and order received as of March, 1998 reaches 380 units.
We are of the opinion that we would continue further studies for development of marine auxiliary engines for the next generation aiming at higher reliability and higher performance to meet market requirements.
