4.2.11 Cooling water system
Cooling method is that engine jacket is cooled by high temperature fresh water and lubrication oil cooler and air cooler are cooled by low temperature fresh water, a mode of fresh-fresh water 2 system cooling. This method can easily meet with the central cooling system.
Further, to make it possible to reduce equipment work in the shipyard, individual mixing type fresh-fresh water 2 system cooling where fresh water inlet and outlet are given one passage each, is prepared, continuous low load operation on heavy fuel oil burning makes it possible to reduce load to 15%, by equipping with the temperature control system of the side of low temperature fresh water.
4.2.12 Suction & exhaust system
The air cooled type radial turbocharger is introduced. Lubrication to the turbocharger is made by means of the drilled hole on the turbocharger stand.
For this reason, no outer piping is arranged and safety structure is given to the turbocharger which gets high temperature.
The air cooler is plate fin box shape structure which is mounted on the non-operation side of the cylinder block and connected with the air inlet duct of the cylinder block. The joining part with V-packing system makes it possible to remove the air cooler easier by only taking off the fitting bolt for cleaning.
