5 Project Implementation program
5.1 Executing Agency of the Project
The executing agency of the Project shall be the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), which has a sufficient capability and experience in carrying out the detailed design, construction of civil works and operation and maintenance of the Project.
SCA shall execute the detailed design of major project facilities by recruiting a consulting firm and the construction by recruiting a competent contractor. The operation and maintenance of the Project shall be carried out by the affiliated company of SCA under the guidance of the experienced consulting engineer, who are also recruited by SCA.
The organization of SCA project office is proposed as shown in Fig.5.1.1 and Fig5.1.2, taking into account administrative and engineering works at the project site during construction stage.
