Methods of conducting OJT are outlined as follows.

 

1 Methods that may be Utilized in the Process of Everyday Work

 

(1) Methods that encompass an educational factor

(2) Methods that provide training by example

。?Lead and explain by example

。?Directly help employees with their work

。?Provide a good example of what may be achieved through self-development

 

(3) Methods that provide opportunities for experience

。?Assign jobs

。?Delegate jobs

。?Make employees give presentations at meetings

。?Make employees negotiate directly with parties related to their work

 

2 Methods that are Specifically Aimed at Training Employees in the Office

 

。?Encourage employees read particular books

。?Make employees write reports

。?Provide employees with an opportunity to put theory into practice

。?Hold study meetings

。?Interview employees

 

3 Methods that may be Conducted Outside the Office

 

。?Encourage employees to visit places of direct interest to their jobs

。?Make employees participate in seminars

。?Encourage employees to take correspondence courses

。?Make employees attend study meetings with people from other organizations

The method that is most appropriate depends on the combination of certain factors such as those outlined below.

・The feelings, character, years of experience and work performance of the employee

・The ability, character, years of experience and work performance of the supervisor

・The level of mutual trust and sense of affinity that exists between the supervisor and the employee

・The relationships between staff

・The characteristics, urgency and significance of the work

・The atmosphere and vitality of the organization

・The circumstances with which the organization is faced
