Finally Mr.Coupy presented the steps and procedures in the way to handle new projects and the maintenance cycle. Adding also some information on the operation of the Sector Boards.
Some delegates expressed the view that the Committee of Action should take more pro- active action concerning the repeated overlaps from work going on in the ISO.
The Chairman thanked Mr.Coupy for his comprehensive presentation.
4.1 New procedures for the maintenance of IEC Publications and New Work Proposals

The Chairman presented and commented on document 18(Houston/See)4, which contained the proposals of the Officers with respect to the time schedules for review and maintenance of the Publications of TC 18.
The CA delegation supported the method proposed.
There was no opposition signaled and the Chairman concluded that the committee accepted the method proposed.
Mr.Rebaudengo expressed some doubt as to the publication year 2001 for IEC 60092-502. The Chairman stressed that the particular dates proposed would be discussed later on with the relevant people involved. The responsibility for the timing of review, revision, maintenance and so on rests with TC 18.
Regarding the composition of the Review Team a circular will be sent to the National Committees in order to have nominations for members of the Team.
The Maintenance Team, called MT1 in Annex 1, will be charged with looking through the relevant Publications in accordance with the dates proposed.
