6 Table of contents
6.1 Present format of the IEC 61892-series
Reference is made to the enclosed "Table of contents" (see Annex A), which is the present format of the IEC 61892-series. It has been amended since the last TC 18 Plenary meeting in Kista.
6.2 Future topics
WG 18 are aware of that some topics will be missing in the first edition of the IEC 61892-series. However, it is decided to limit the number of subjects to those included in the present table of contents. Future revision of IEC 61892 will need to be covered once completion of the series has been achieved. WG 18 propose missing topics to be included in the series by such revision, or as amendments, rather than to try to include too many subjects in the first edition.
Among missing topics are：
- electrical underwater systems;
- drilling systems;
- uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS);
- adjustable speed motor drives systems;
- diesel-electric fire pumps;
- cable systems of glands, transits, supports systems;
- electrical power supply to a unit from an external source of electrical power.
7 Liaisons
7.1 ISO/TC 67
A liaison report has been sent ISO/TC 67 about the development and progress of the IEC 61892-series, which is included in the agenda for the ISO/TC 67 plenary meeting in Xi'an in China in September 1998 as document ISO/TC 67 N 624. A copy is enclosed, see Annex B.
7.2 IEC/SC 31J
There is no activity in this SC at present.
7.3 IEC/SC 18A
Mr. Geir Bull-Njaa, member of WG 18 has accepted to undertake liaison duties between SC 18A and WG 18. He was the former chairman of the Norwegian National Committee of SC 18A.
8 Future topics and maintanance of the IEC 61892-series
On completion of its tasks, normally a working group will be disbanded, the project leader remaining with consultant status until completion of the publication stage. However, this is not recommended for WG 18 for the following reasons：
