Each of these ferries has its own interior design theme; "light" for FERRY SUZURAN, and "color" for FERRY SUISEN. The vehicle deck can carry 126 trucks or trailers and 80 cars. Turntables, stern ramp and stern side ramps make loading and unloading of vehicles speedy and smooth.
Two DU-SEMT-PIELSTICK 18PC4-2B main engines develop 23,830 kW at 410rpm respectively and drive controllable pitch propellers (CPP). To prevent noise and hull vibration, elastic mountings are fitted to the main engines and diesel generators. A joystick control system with single lever is used to maneuver the ship smoothly from the navigation bridge deck during berthing or unberthing, automatically operating two CPPs, one bow thruster and two stern thrusters.
