The CROWN EMERALD is a 547,680-cft refrigerated carrier delivered in March, 1996 to Idhra Maritima S.A. at the Iwagi Zosen of Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
Features
1. The cargo space is divided into four cargo holds with eight insulated compartments and control air system of each cargo hold is provided in compliance with the requirements of Classification Society for the notation of RMC*. CA.
2. For refrigeration, a brine cooling system includes three R-22 screw compressors, three condensers and three brine pumps. Air coolers with circulating fans are installed in each insulated compartment.
Cold air is supplied via a floor duct into compartments and returns to the coolers.
3. Cargo space temperature can be controlled between -25℃ and 15℃ to an accuracy of ±0.1℃
4. The vessel has four deck cranes for quick handling of pallets and containers. It can carry 120TEUs and 100FEUs including 64FEU reefers and, in the holds, 610 motor vehicles.
