A 1,550-TEU Container Carrier KOTA WANGI

 

The KOTA WANGI was completed in August 1996 at the Toyohashi Works of Kamasashi Co., Ltd. to the order of the Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd.

The KOTA WANGI is designed suitable for carrying freight containers of total 1,550TEUS. The container hold space is divided into 4 holds fore of the engine room and 1 hold aft. Containers can be stowed 11 rows and from 6 tiers to 4tiers on the upper deck and 8 rows and 5 tiers in the holds. 40-foot containers can be stowed on aft mooring deck. 100TEUS of aircooled reefer containers can be stowed on the upper deck and No. 2 container hold can accommodate dangerous cargo containers including explosives.

The ship is equipped auto-heel control system for safety work at cargo handling.

The main engine is low-speed, long-stroke diesel engine Kobe Diesel-Mitsubishi 6UEC60LS and high performance highly skewed propeller save the fuel oil consumption. For safe and easy maneuvering in harbour, the bow thruster is installed.
