SUPER ADVENTURE, the First in Handy Size Bulk Series
The 28,200-dwt type SUPER ADVENTURE is the first vessel in series of handy size bulk carriers and was delivered in September 1996 to Kalmia Shipping S.A. by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The vessel is operated by Western Bulk Carrier Ltd.
The vessel is qualified for timber freeboard and its upper deck and cargo hatch covers have the uniform load of 3.85mt/m2 and 2.5mt/m2 respectively.
The vessel has wide hatches (No. 1: 12.92m long × 16.00m wide, No.2 to NO.5; 19.76m long × 17.6m wide) for achieving the efficiency of cargo handling.
And also fixed and collapsible stanchins are provided on both sides of upper deck for log loading. Four single type deck cranes together with grab buckets are installed.
The vessel can also carry grain, coal, cement, steel pipes and rolled steel coils.
