Cipinang station front area, etc. and the route plan of Quadruple Tracking shall be related and coordinated with these area developments.
Following basic conditions are at least taken into consideration for route planning of Quadruple Tracking.
・Future area development for Manggarai Terminal Station
・Future terminal of Jatinegara Station for train and commuter train
・Future possibility for Circular Line Connection between Eastern and
Western Lines
Based on the above conditions, the new double track is planned by starting on the ground level at Manggarai Station, crossing over the Bogor Line by the elevated route, approaching to the Jatinegara Station by the continuously elevated structures and joining to the existing tracks at Cipinang Station.
Jatinegara Station will be fully developed by the newly elevated platform for intercity train and the on-ground platform for commuter train, both of which is to be linked by passenger concourse and the station front area including the transit facility between railway and road transport.
Further to these facilities, the yard layout of Jatinegara Station is to have the possibility of interface with Eastern Line by the elevated structures or with Circular Line Connection between Eastern and Western Lines.
Due to the elevated structure route, the maximum vertical profile is planned
to be 14 per mile.
(3) Jatinegara- Bekasi Route
Based on the easy availability of new land for right-of-way, the north side of the existing tracks is planned for the new double track for the entire section between Jatinegara and Bekasi Stations. Through this section, the several major roads are crossing by the flyover structures above the existing tracks and the final alignment and construction clearance for the new double track shall be planned by coordination with the existing concrete structures.
Also along this route, there are many existing railway facilities and buildings such as Cipinang Freight Yard, Klender, Klender Baru, Cakung, Kranji Stations and some of these facilities are to be required for modification or rebuilding works.
Especially at Bekasi Station, the main facilities are existing as railway training center, electric railcar stabling yard, telecom radio tower, coal unloading yard, steel bridge at east-end station yard etc. Therefore total layout plan is to be prepared considering the modification or relocation plan for these facilities.
