Considering the route length interval between Manggarai and Cikarang Stations, Bekasi Station is planned for new transit station between intercity and commuter trains and to be constructed by two platforms with four siding tracks, in general, parallel to the existing platform layout.

 

Through the entire route of this section, the vertical profile is planned to be less than 6 per mile.

 

(4) Bekasi- Cikarang Route

 

By the similar condition to the Jatinegara - Bekasi section, the new double track is planned at the north side of the existing tracks.

 

Surround area is presently rather open space but is close to Cikampek Tollway and to be possibly changed for the new property development.

Therefore the urgent settlement for new land is required by coordination with the new double track route plan.

 

For the layout plan of Cikarang Station, the following factors shall be considered and these are to be coordinated with the area development including transportation, commercial activity and housing property etc.

 

・Trunk Road and Arterial Road Network

・Bus Terminal and its Access Routes

・Station Front Area Development

・Electric Railcar Stabling Yard and Maintenance Facility

 

Based on the land availability and potentiality for future development, the new railway facility for commuter trains is suitable to be the south side of the existing station buildings.

 

Through the entire route of this section, the vertical profile is planned to be less than 7 per mile.
