4.2 Route Plan

 

Quadruple Tracking is planned in parallel with the existing railway tracks on Bekasi Line, partial Western Line or Serpong Line in order to minimize the newly necessary land for right-of-way and the total route between Kebayoran and Cikarang Stations is divided into the following sections by considering the railway facility and the stage plan for construction.

 

・ Kebayoran Station - Manggarai Station (10.2km Route)

・ Manggarai Station - Jatinegara Station ( 2.7km Route)

・ Jatinegara Station - Bekasi Station (14.7km Route)

・ Bekasi Station - Cikarang Station (16.9km Route)

 

Existing site condition and route plan for Quadruple Tracking of each section are described below.

 

(1) Kebayoran - Manggarai Route

 

As part of this route, the section between Tanah Abang and Serpong is planned for double tracking by the separated project and the new double tracks by Quadruple Tracking will be connected with this planned double track on the area adjacent to Palmerah Station and will be same route from and to Kebayoran Station.

 

New short-cutting connection between Serpong Line and Western Line is planned for crossing the Banjir Kanal by bridge structure and joining to the Western Line on the area adjacent to Karet Station.

 

Along the Western Line, the new double track is planned to the north side of the existing tracks to avoid the hydrological disturbance to the Banjir Kanal,which is located to the south side. Also on this section, three different road flyovers are crossing above the existing tracks, therefore the new double track shall be same level to the existing ones.

 

Present approach route to Manggarai Station is fixed by the sharply curved alignments then limited by the speed restriction, accordingly the new double track is planned by the more smoothly curved alignments to the south side of the existing one.

 

Through the entire route of this section, the vertical profile is planned to be less than 7 per mile.

 

(2) Manggarai- Jatinegara Route

 

On the area between Manggarai and Jatinegara, the future plans of the urban development are considered such as Manggarai new railway terminal, the new circular route between Eastern and Western Lines, Jatinegara and
