Annual passing gross tonnage can be calculated for 2011 & 2021 as about 24 million to/year/track (Refer to Table 2.3-1)
Accordingly for the track condition of UIC54 rail, 200 mm ballast thickness, 100 t/m pandrol rail pad, PC sleeper of spacing of 71.4〜83.3 cm, and for the LRV train (axle weight of 14.6 ton), the following results can be obtained.
Considering the above results of nil stress, all sleeper spacings of 83.3 cm, 76.9 cm and 71.4 cm may be allowed for supporting the LRV train running.
For cost review wod1 we adopt a = 71.4 cm (namely 1400 pieces/km).
